Moonta is the centre of the historic copper triangle, and provides a fascinating  insight into early South Australian pioneering days.  There is plenty to see and do, including exploring the old copper mining relics, viewing settlers' cottages and the fascinating Museum, the historic cemetery and old churches. You can tour down into an actual underground copper mine.  Many good  local tours are available, including visits to Wallaroo and Kadina.
